Happy Pride Month! Weāre so delighted to have writer-librarian Lo Riddellās gorgeous poem āPomegranate Seed,ā as well as our books These Arenāt My Woods Anymore by Soon Jones and Translating Blue by Sherre Vernon, included in the Community of Literary Magazines & Pressesā latest booklist.
Lo Riddell is a lesbian writer from southern Ohio, currently based in New England. She received her BFA in Creative Writing from Bowling Green State University in 2022, and now spends her free time writing poetry, prose, zines, and essays on pop culture. Soon Jones is a Pushcart Prize-nominated Korean lesbian poet and author originating from the rural countryside of the American South. Their work explores the unending cycles of grief, trauma, and finding inner strength in your darkest moments. Soon is a 2017 Lambda Literary Fellow and holds an MFA in Poetry at Oklahoma State University.
Sherre Vernon (she/her/hers) is the award-winning author of Green Ink Wings, The Name is Perilous, and Flame Nebula, Bright Nova. Sherre has been published in journals such as Tahoma Literary Review and The Chestnut Review, nominated for Best of the Net and Pushcart prizes, and anthologized in several collections including Fat & Queer and Best Small Fictions.
